WHAT IS THE APPLIED INTEGRATION ACADEMY?

The Applied Integration Academy (AIA) works with the science of movement to explain the spectrum of patterns the human body can adopt. While there is a pattern that is certainly the most common based on our asymmetrical anatomy, the spectrum of patterns goes beyond the basics to describe 16 different patterns that the body can get stuck in with respect to the cranium, neck, thorax, and pelvis. Based on 17 different tests that assess cranial strain, range of motion, alignment, and power production, this science has allowed even the most complex patient patterns to be easily visualized, evaluated, and treated.

 

The AIA strives to teach interdisciplinary care to be able to effectively treat a person who needs dental and/or visual integration. It teaches dentists, optometrists, and physical therapists how to work together and what specific adjustments need to be made to allow for the body to function optimally.
